Is it bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s not even superman. It’s the Yuba College Streaker!A white male student, wearing only a “g-string” and tennis shoes gave those on the Yuba College campus a show like none other during the noon hour on Thursday March 4.
He concealed his face with his blue baseball cap and a piece of paper with holes cut out for eyes.
The streaker started his jaunt at the locker rooms and circled around the library and P.E. areas three times. An anonymous source said that he stopped only because he grew tired.Hoots and hollers came from onlookers, and at one point the “streaker” exposed himself to female students.
A group of students video taped the performance but were unwilling to share photos with “The Prospector.” Nor would they divulge who owned the video recorder.
Some of those who were present at the time of this spectacle commented that it was a positive occurrence, that it “broke up the monotony of the day.”
Police cadet Jody Pantlik responded to the call made to the Yuba College Police Department by a student witness. Pantlik went to the area in which the streaker was said to be seen, but found no one fitting the description of the suspect. Currently, the police department does not have a positive identity of the alleged streaker but will continue to question students about the identity of the suspect. Seemingly no one is willing to divulge the suspect’s identity.
Although, according to the Yuba College police department, the streaker technically was not guilty of indecent exposure, his form of attire was against the student code of conduct. No real harm was done, but Pantlik still feels ” it would be nice to know who it is so we can talk to him.”
” I think that the person that did it lost a bet or did it on a dare,” said Pantlik. “And if he did lose a bet, maybe he shouldn’t bet anymore.”
