Do you get tired of hearing people in class sniffling? Or are you yourself a perpetrator of this distracting behavior? Well, sniffle no more with the Student Health Clinic. Located in Osuna Hall, in the 1500 building, they are ready to take appointments and walk-ins, and are open from 8:30-3:30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The best part about it? All its services are free to all registered students.
When you walk into the building, one of the helpful professionals will be at the window to the left, ready to take on your health issues. Doris Whittlesey, the head of the clinic and Certified Physical Assistant from Harmony Health Medical Clinic, urges, “Please take advantage of our services, I don’t think enough people know that we are here, and I’d like to see more people take advantage of our free health services.”
The free services at the clinic cover a vast variety of non-urgent conditions, including allergies, bladder infections, colds and flu, earaches, eye infections, rashes, muscle and joint pain, minor stomach upsets and mild diarrhea as well as physicals for employment. Remember, the clinic only covers non-urgent conditions. If you have an emergency, go to the hospital or call 911.
Please, do yourself a favor. Mind your health and go to the Student Health Clinic, or refer your noisy classmate. And remember, it’s free!
