Health Clinic Offers Students Free Services

Yuba College now has a Student Health Clinic, providing free health care services for all registered Yuba College students. To recieve services, students must provide a current and valid proof of registration; no other information is required.
The service was previously terminated in October 2005, according to Miriam Root, when they were unable to find a college nurse as a suitable replacement.

In-N-Out Burger is now in Yuba City. The restaurant makes everything fresh, including hand-picked lettuce to fresh-made French fries cooked in a 100 percent pure cholesterol-free vegetable oil.

Obama's Pastor Problem

Has the media overblown the Reverend Wright controversy? In case you haven't been watching television for the past three weeks, Reverend Wright, Barack Obama's former pastor, has been ostracized by the media for making controversial remarks.
Numerous clips have surfaced showing Wright shouting, "Not God bless America; God damn
America! That's in the Bible!" He's also been videotaped saying, "[America]�is doing the same thing Al Qaeda is doing, under a different color flag!"
Once the clips of Wright became public, the media was quick to point out the underlying implications of Obama and Wright's relationship.

Yuba's Budget Crunch

Governor Schwarzenegger has proposed a 10
percent decrease in funding for the 2008-2009
fiscal year to minimize California's 14.5 billion dollar deficit. Cuts will be made in all areas of the state budget, including AIDS research, highway maintenance, and the educational budget.
