Yuba College Women's Volleyball Team Beats Los Medanos

The Yuba College Women's Volleyball team beat Los Medanos in three games (30-10, 30-13, 30-20) for their first victory of the season on Wednesday, October 15. Led by Ashley DeMello, Yuba offensively overpowered Los Medanos to finally add a win to their record.
DeMello had seventeen kills and served 100 percent from the line with three aces. Krystal Gualco stepped up and added nine kills and three digs. Setter Rachel Norton finished the match with thirty assists, five kills and three aces. Lyndsay Nelson had six digs and Lorelle Font was 15-16 from the service line.
Yuba lost to Santa Rosa Junior College on Wednesday, October 6, in four games (30-25, 30-22, 30-13). The Santa Rosa Bear Cubs are ranked 3rd in Northern California and 8th in the state.
Yuba also lost to Solano College on Friday, October 8, in four games (30-19, 30-28, 30-27, 30-26).
Yuba's record now stands at 1-8 overall and 1-3 in Bay Valley Conference.
